Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Question:  Why are we required to maintain post lamps in an operable condition to keep them lit from dusk until dawn?

Answer:
Due to the limited street lights in our community (which are primarily on street corners only), these lights are considered necessary to achieve effective lighting to meet minimum safety standards.  Everyone should regularly monitor their lamps to ensure they have a good bulb and a working light sensor that automatically turns the lamp on at dusk and off at dawn.  This issue is addressed in our Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, and Easements, Page 11, Article VII, Section 2 (e).

Question:
What are the current watering restrictions?

Answer:
The current lawn watering restrictions for the unincorporated areas of Citrus County allow residents to water twice  a week.  Watering must be done before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m.  New plant material may be irrigated during a 30-day establishment period (restrictions apply).

  • Even addresses may water on Thursday and/or Sunday
  • Odd addresses may water on Wednesday and/or Saturday
  • Residents can hand-water their gardens and shrubbery, but not lawns, any time during the week.
  • New Lawns & Plants have a 30-30 establishment period, which allows any-day watering during the first 30 days.  During the second 30 days, watering is allowed three days per week: even-numbered addresses may water on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday: odd-numbered addresses may water Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday
